Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced Sunday that he has decided to drop out of the race for president ahead of the New Hampshire primary and endorse Donald Trump.

He threw some snark in there.

From WRAL:
"If there was anything I could do to produce a favorable outcome, more campaign stops, more interviews, I would do it, but I can't ask our supporters to volunteer their time and donate their resources if we don't have a clear path to victory. Accordingly, I am today suspending my campaign," DeSantis said.

He then touted his support for Trump: "While, I've had disagreements with Donald Trump, such as on the Coronavirus pandemic and his elevation of Anthony Fauci, Trump is superior to the current incumbent Joe Biden. That is clear."

"I signed a pledge to support the Republican nominee and I will honor that pledge. He has my endorsement, because we can't go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear or repackaged form of warmed-over corporatism that Nikki Haley represents," he said.
DeSantis' poll numbers in New Hampshire have been in the single digits for two months now, with the latest polls having him at 5.7% versus Trump's 47.4% and Haley's 36.2%.

DeSantis was shilled by Fox News and pressured to run by wealthy donors who wanted "Trumpism without Trump" but ran into troubles due to the fact he has zero charisma and terrible political instincts.

Most GOP primary voters felt there was no reason to vote for "Trump Lite" when Trump was still in the race.

Though DeSantis initially made an attempt to appeal to the far-right with "edgy" memes his decision to fly to Israel to meet with rich Zionist donors and sign the harshest hate crime bill in America into law to jail Floridians for five years for handing out "anti-Semitic flyers" made it clear for all to see where his loyalty lies.

His anti-woke rhetoric also fell flat due to the fact he went full SJW after October 7th by banning pro-Palestine groups on college campuses for hurting Jewish students' feelings and issued an "emergency order" to create safe spaces for Jewish students to help them escape the "antisemitism" of "elite universities."
