![]() ![]() "Week 270. Today we strike in solidarity with Palestine and Gaza," Thunberg tweeted. "The world needs to speak up and call for an immediate ceasefire, justice and freedom for Palestinians and all civilians affected. #FreePalestine #IStandWithPalestine #StandWithGaza." ![]() It took her less than 30 minutes before she felt compelled to take down her initial post and apologize for having a stuffed animal of an octopus in the photo, which her critics claimed was a hidden symbol of anti-Semitism. "We are of course against any type of discrimination, and condemn antisemitism in all forms and shapes. This is non-negotiable. That is why I deleted the last post," she clarified.
Greta encouraged folks to follow Jewish Voice for Peace and the Jewish group IfNotNow, both of which took part in the protest at the Capitol and both of which Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt just labeled a "hate group."
