Adam Schiff Makes Up Fake Trump-Ukraine Transcript to Make It Sound More Damning

House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep Adam Schiff (D-CA) on Thursday decided to make up his own version of President Trump's phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to make it sound like a mafia shakedown operation.

So why did Schiff make up his own version of the call in a Congressional hearing?

Because he knows the transcript shows no quid pro quo or crimes.

Here's Schiff's full quote:

And what is the President’s response — well it reads like a classic organized crime shake down. In essence, what the President Trump communicates is this: We’ve been very good to your country. Very good. No other country has done as much as we have. But you know what, I don’t see much reciprocity here. You know what I mean? I hear what you want. I have a favor I want from you though. And I’m going to say this only seven times, so you better listen good. I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand? Lots of dirt, on this and on that. I’m going to put you in touch with people, and not just any people. I’m going to put you in touch with the Attorney General of the United States — my Attorney General, Bill Barr — he’s got the whole weight of American law enforcement behind him. And I’m going to put you in touch with Rudy, you’re going to love him. Trust me. You know what I’m asking, so I’m only going to say this a few more times, in a few more ways. And don’t call me again. I’ll call you when you’ve done what I asked.

President Trump on Friday morning called for Schiff to resign:

...sound horrible, and me sound guilty. HE WAS DESPERATE AND HE GOT CAUGHT. Adam Schiff therefore lied to Congress and attempted to defraud the American Public. He has been doing this for two years. I am calling for him to immediately resign from Congress based on this fraud!

According to the actual transcript provided by the Department of Justice, Trump's call was a rather bumbling attempt to investigate the origins of the RussiaGate witch hunt, specifically the influence of the shady DNC-hired firm CrowdStrike.

As Ann Coulter writes:

The subsequent three years of breathless Russia coverage was based entirely on the word of one cybersecurity firm, CrowdStrike, that the DNC’s emails had been hacked by Russia.

Recall that the DNC wouldn’t allow the FBI or any other U.S. government official anywhere near its computers. That’s precisely why so many cybersecurity experts doubted that it was the Russians: The FBI was never allowed to perform its own investigation.

CrowdStrike was founded by Ukrainian Dmitri Alperovitch (now an American citizen apparently — because who isn’t?) and funded by the fanatically anti-Russian Ukrainian oligarch Viktor Pinchuk Foundation.

Talk about interfering with our democracy! Alperovitch and Pinchuk sent one political party and nine-tenths of the American media off on a wild goose chase into Russian collusion that, after years of accusations, investigations and embarrassing conspiracy-mongering ... turned up goose eggs.

Trump's attempt to get to the bottom of this conspiracy was thwarted reportedly due to a CIA agent who listened in on or obtained the content his phone call and ratted on him to the CIA's top lawyer.

Huh … I’d assumed the whistleblower was a Karen Silkwood type, an simple low-level employee. Now he turns out instead to be CIA.

I worry that this could lead to Conspiracy Theories.

In the wake of this alleged CIA officer's actions, AG William Barr appears to have made clear that he did not and will not investigate any of the matters Trump brought up, ensuring the phony Russia witch hunt narrative is never officially undermined and exposed as a fraud.
