The US military is launching up to 25 surveillance blimps in the Midwest to allegedly "provide a persistent surveillance system to locate and deter narcotic trafficking and homeland security threats." From The Guardian: The US military is conducting wide-area surveillance tests across six midwest states using experimental high-altitude balloons, documents filed with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) reveal. Travelling in the stratosphere at altitudes of up to 65,000ft, the balloons are intended to “provide a persistent surveillance system to locate and deter narcotic trafficking and homeland security threats”, according to a filing made on behalf of the Sierra Nevada Corporation, an aerospace and defence company. As we learned on Thursday, our government now considers "conspiracy theories" themselves (in addition to the people who believe them) and "incels" to be domestic terror threats. If the government actually cared about stopping narcotic trafficking they'd be closing our southern border and setting up these blimps to monitor traffickers coming from Mexico. Instead, they're setting them up in the Midwest. Follow InformationLiberation on Twitter, Facebook, Gab and Minds. |
