Man Arrested For Threatening to Murder Senator Rand Paul And His Family With An Ax

In the past 13 months, Republican Senator Rand Paul was shot at by a deranged Bernie Sanders supporter, nearly murdered by his Democrat neighbor and sent death threats by another man who said he was going to murder him and his entire family with an ax.

Sen. Paul said he can't "go anywhere now without [24-hour] security."

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul tweeted his thanks on Monday to the U.S. Capitol Police for arresting a man who allegedly threatened to kill the Republican lawmaker and chop up his family with an ax.

While the U.S. Capitol Police told Fox News they do not comment on open investigations, Paul was more forthcoming about the threats against him and his family.

Speaking at an event on Monday in Litchfield, Ky., Paul said the unnamed man had called his Bowling Green office and “threatened to kill me and chop up my family with an ax.�

"It's just horrendous that we have to deal with things like this,� Paul said, according to the Louisville Courier Journal.

Republican Majority Whip Steve Scalise, who was hit multiple times by the Bernie Sanders supporting Alexandria shooter, also weighed in on the event on Twitter:

The media is largely ignoring the story. The story is currently absent from the front page of CNN, The Washington Post and The New York Times.

CNN's website has so far ignored the story entirely. The New York Times ran a tiny AP article covering the story. The Washington Post did a write-up on the threats but evidently didn't feel it merited much coverage.

Rand Paul's neighbor, Rene Boucher, in June was sentenced to only 30 days in prison for nearly murdering him.

The feds are currently trying to see his sentence expanded.

The Democrat base and their leadership have become completely unhinged.
