36yo Iraqi Migrant Who Said He Was Gay to Get Asylum in Austria Caught Molesting 11yo Girl

AN IRAQI migrant who said he was gay when claiming asylum in Austria has been jailed for a sex attack on an 11-year-old girl at a swimming pool.

The 36-year-old insisted that he was homosexual and was only interested in relationships with men when he appeared in court this week.

He said the sexual assault was the first time he had any sexual relations with the opposite sex.

The defendant told the court: "It just happened.”

The attacker arrived in Austria 13 years ago and had no previous convictions until he was arrested over the attack on the schoolgirl in the changing rooms of a public swimming pool in the Huetteldorf area of Vienna.

He had met an old friend who was with her daughter and they spent the afternoon and the evening together.

The girl claims the defendant fondled her breasts and told her not to say anything to her mother during the incident.

The next day they had arranged to go swimming together, where he put his hands on her breasts and private parts.

The defendant told the court he had thought she was much older than she really was.

He said: "I thought she looked so big, I thought she must be at least 17 or 18."
