Germany: African Migrant Arrested For Rape Tries to Intimidate Police With Voodoo Doll

A young man from Lauda-Königshofen followed a 19-year-old woman into her bedroom and raped her there. Now he faces trial.

After his arrest, a 27-year-old man living in shared accommodation in Lauda-Königshofen tried to intimidate a criminal police officer with voodoo magic from his African home, demanding he be released: otherwise he should expect the worst. The police inspector (38) was not impressed; since then also nothing has happened to him, but the man from Africa has been sentenced to four years in prison due to rape at the Würzburg state court.

... In Bad Mergentheim the man had already been sentenced to two years and four months for the rape of a 13-year-old and afterwards was under co-called conduct supervision. His probation worker said he mostly did not come to his meetings. It later emerged that this was because he travelled to Norway and had unsuccessfully applied for asylum there. Regardless of the how the asylum procedure ends, said the accused, he will remain and Germany and will start a new life here.

... When leaving the court room, the accused passed comment on the verdict: he said he had only been convicted because of the colour of his skin, something he couldn't help.
