Listen To The Way This Rude Dispatcher Handled Charles Ramsey's 911 Call...

Latest: Cleveland Police Say They'll "Review" Handling Of 911 Call After Public CriticismThe problem with government granted monopolies is the quality of service they provide reflects the fact they don't have to compete for dollars in the marketplace. They get money regardless of the quality of the "service" they provide.

Here's a good example of this principle in effect, listen to the way this 911 dispatcher treats Charles Ramsey, the now famous man who tipped off police to three teens who were held hostage for a decade.



The dispatcher acts just as you would expect an entitled bureaucrat to act, his paycheck isn't dependent on serving customers, he gets paid regardless of the quality of the service he provides, therefor "customers" are just a nuisance getting in the way of his sitting around.

Here's some other classic dispatcher calls which reflect this very same attitude, this is what you get when you let a monopolist provide your "services" and outlaw free markets.

In other cases, a 911 operator ordered a victim to return to the scene of a crime, the man reluctantly did as he was ordered, he was summarily murdered.

Another man who called 911 to report a criminal cop had the dispatcher rat him out to the cop, who then called him personally and threatened to "f**k him up."

A particularly disturbing incident happened with Rebecca Prieto, another 911 operator who was extremely rude to Olidia Kerr Day, a mother of three who was fleeing a gunman trying to kill her, she drove to the police station with the gunman tailing her, she begged the 911 operator to provide her with help, yet the operator instead did nothing at all and copped an attitude, the woman was gunned down and shot right in front of the police station.

These are just a few examples illustrating why it's extremely foolish to believe a government monopoly can provide the same level of service, or even as some believe better quality services, than the free market. All government "services" are monopolies, competition is literally against the law, this is what we get as a result.

67236 Really, @Anonymous? Was that you on the other end of the phone line? 911 operators should be professional, quick to act, and sympathetic. These operators were none of those things. Yes, the caller was over emotional. I mean, most fucking 911 calls ARE, you idiot.

Until this country demands that the worthless system of policeman and courts will do their damn jobs and that includes the looser prosecuters this shit will continue. Caller: "Help. My Dad is dying."
Dispatcher: "Do you have an account with us?"
C: "Send help, please."
D: "I'm sorry, I can't help you without your account."
C: "It's 1149391, I think."
D: "I'm sorry, that account shows payment overdue. You'll have to visit our office in Timbuktu next Tuesday to pay up your account, before I can help you..."

C: "Help. My Dad is dying."
D: "Do you have an account with us?"
C: "It's 1149391, I think."
D: "I'm sorry, but that account was cancelled because you used it last month. Thank you for calling."

C: "Help. My Dad is dying."
D: "Do you agree to pay, without challenge, any service fees we might deem appropriate for providing emergency services to you; or to arbitrate any disputes with our in-house arbiter? Do you agree not to publicize any disputes with us?"

C: "It's 1149391, I think."
D: "I'm sorry, but service usage is especially heavy this evening. Due to market demand, an emergency services visit is $15,000 this hour..."

C: "Help. My Dad is dying."
D: "Do you have an account with us?"
C: "It's 1149391, I think."
D: "That account is in dispute with us; we can't provide service while your account is in dispute. But if you'll agree to waive your rights and withdraw your claim..."

C: "Help. My Dad is dying."
D (speaking Hindi): "क्या मैं आपकी मदद कर सकता हूँ"?

66177 I drive for a living, called in a brushfire just getting started one day.
Gave her the approx location inbetween mile-markers on the highway.
After about 1 minute of being drilled on how I "happened" to notice while driving..
I finally became irate & asked her "You got someone on the way or do I have to f__king call someone else?!
Only then did her tone change, & the insinuations stop.
I hate to admit it, but I've never called 911 again, just not worth it.

9999 I had to call 911 for my mom yesterday. When we were sure that she was not having a heart attack (I am CPR certified) I kindly told the 911 operator to please tell the paramedics to turn off the siren when they got to her street. Her reply in a very nasty tone was, "You shouldn't be worrying about that" and then she kept repeating the same question over and over of which I gave her an answer. My mom even got on the phone. It was anxiety as we found out at the hospital but the rudeness of these operators must be a job prerequisite. I was speaking clearly and being cooperative. She was a real dickless Stacey!
