Why the Government Is WORSE than a Gang of Criminals
InformationLiberationSep 22
It is true that the theory of our Constitution is, that all taxes are paid voluntarily; that our government is a mutual insurance company, voluntarily entered into by the people with each other; that each man makes a free and purely voluntary contract with all others who are parties to the Constitution, to pay so much money for so much protection, the same as he does with any other insurance company; and that he is just as free not to be protected, and not to pay tax, as he is to pay a ta... Houston Police Punish Officers Who Allegedly Covered Up Drunken Cop Crashing Into School Bus
InformationLiberationSep 21
Sgt. Ruben Trejo was blood tested after crashing into a school bus on his way to "protect and serve" the public, the results showed he was intoxicated. Rather than give him a promotion, the police Chief actually fired him. There was a cover-up of the incident by his fellow officers, one apparently told the media at the scene of the crash Trejo was not under the influence. The Chief refuses to release and details and is instead "punishing" the cops involved with -- wait for it -- one day's ... (more)

Buffett's dad was the Ron Paul of his day
Washington ExaminerSep 21
In recent days, the Buffett name has become synonymous with support for higher taxes, but a long time ago, it was associated with fierce opposition to federal taxation and big government.

Warren Buffett may be a committed liberal Democrat, but his father, Howard Buffett, was a four-term Republican member of Congress (1943-49 and 51-53), a John Bircher who fought FDR and warned that the expansion of gove

14-Year-Old Who Made 'It Gets Better' Video Commits Suicide Amidst Bullying
GawkerSep 21
Back in May, Buffalo teen Jamey Rodermeyer contributed a video to the "It Gets Better" campaign. Though only 14, Rodermeyer felt he had a message of hope to send whoever was watching. Now, four months later, he's dead of a suicide.

Jamey's parents, who found him dead at their home early Monday morning, say that he had been bullied because of his perceived sexuality for years, but that they thought that he was doing better, having started high school three weeks ago. Following his

I saw this whole "it gets better" nonsense on reddit a while ago and it was obvious it was totally misguided and a misdiagnosis of the problem. It doesn't matter if things get better in the future, the school system is a prison and the culture in them is the same as the prison culture. The perpetual age segregation assures no one with any wisdom is with these kids to keep things civil and help mediate conflict. Instead, it's a lord of the flies type situation where it's a war of all against all. School is a 12 year jail sentence, choose homeschooling or private schooling in Montessori, or try unschooling which is better than them all. Kids don't need coping mechanisms, they need freedom. How many more children have to die before people realize these government schools are pure evil? - Chris

Are We Worthy of Freedom?
Activist PostSep 20
Fact is, you cannot appease tyranny. Once people understand that the thirst of tyrants cannot be quenched, then people will begin to realize and appreciate the severity of their circumstance. The United States of America is no longer. We are ruled by the color of law, and peaceful protest is now brutally crushed; two clearly undeniable indicators that America has fallen into the hands of the authoritarians.

The Constitution tells us that we have the right to peaceably assembl

Government as a Venture Capitalist
Ron PaulSep 20
In January 2009, the administration claimed that if Congress passed a rush stimulus bill, the United States would be saved from economic catastrophe that was threatening to send unemployment figures above 8 percent. Government stimulus was the answer and if we cared about our country, we would set aside our reservations and do what needed to be done to pass the bill. Congress passed the bill. Unemployment continued to go up and has been well over 8 percent ever since. (In fact, economist Joh... (more)

The Colossal Deceit Known As The Underwear Bomber Case
Kurt Haskell’s BlogSep 20
With jury selection set to begin in the Underwear Bomber Trial tomorrow, I've spent the evening reminiscing about Christmas Day 2009 and the 21 months since. The Underwear Bomber attack has fundamentally changed my life. Not in the way most would think, but it has destroyed any faith I've had in the U.S. Government, the media and this country as a whole.

To say that I believe the government is corrupt and the media is complicit doesn't fully explain my beliefs. Not only have I com

Absent Government, What Will Keep Our Food Safe?
Stefano R. MugnainiSep 20
Any conversation about the superfluity of the federal government or her legion of agencies will invariably turn to this question: "Who will keep our food safe?" It is as sure as Godwin's law — except in this case, the fascists have, inexplicably, become the good guys.

Apparently, the FDA and the USDA have a stellar and unblemished track record of keeping the populace safe from tainted food and dangerous medicines<
