![]() Beverly Hills Unified School District on Tuesday passed a resolution to fly Israeli flags on all campuses and district facilities."The proposal proclaims May as Jewish Heritage Month and calls for display of the Israeli flag at each BHUSD school and facility throughout the month of May every year," NBC Los Angeles reports. "It's part of a resolution to combat antisemitism that mixes Holocaust education, lessons on Jewish history and remembrance of the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attacks on Israel." WATCH: "This should be a no-brainer for a school district that represents one of the only Jewish-majority communities outside of Israel," Beverly Hills Vice Mayor John Mirisch testified to the board on Tuesday, flexing his in-group's ethnic power. "Does any flag of a foreign nation belong on a public school facility here in Beverly Hills? Of course not!" a member of the public protested. All protests were ignored, the resolution passed 3-2. "Jews are being killed and slaughtered on the streets -- so, enough!" board member Sigalie Sabag barked to shut down debate.
