ADL, AJC Demand Money and Censorship at House Hearing on Anti-Semitism

The Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee demanded money, internet censorship and pre-crime programs in the name of "Jewish safety" during a GOP-led House hearing on anti-Semitism on Wednesday.

Oren Segal of the Anti-Defamation League opened the hearing by proclaiming that "online platforms like Telegram, among others, enable foreign terrorist organizations to share and promote their propaganda to thousands across the US and around the globe."


"Groups like Samidoun, Unity of Fields and even some Students for Justice in Palestine chapters have crossed a dangerous line amplifying terrorist propaganda," he claimed. "And some of those groups are even supported by fiscal sponsors with little oversight."

Segal continued:
"The time to act is now and Congress should take the following five steps:

- Increase funding for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program to protect at risk houses of worship, schools and community centers.

- Invest in community-based violence prevention such as DHS's CP3.

- Empower the [Trump administration's] Interagency Task Force to Combat Antisemitism, ensuring it has a mandate and resources to coordinate across federal agencies.

- Pass the Antisemitism Awareness Act and the Holocaust Education and Antisemitism Lessons Act to strengthen the accountability in our education system.

- And finally address hate on our digital platforms by enforcing transparency and cracking down on violations of material support laws."
A theme throughout the hearing was the demand that laws against providing "material support" to designated terror groups be used to go after critics of Israel.

James Carafano of the Heritage Foundation echoed the ADL's push for "material support" laws to be used against Israel's critics.


The American Jewish Committee's Julie Fishman Rayman did the same.

Rayman told the hearing that Jews believe "the political right and the political left represent an equal anti-Semitic threat."

This threat demands "a robust government response," she insisted.


Republicans at the hearing tried to hype the threats from the "far left" but she made sure to insist the "far right" and "Christian nationalists" were just as threatening.

Rayman also claimed that Jews having to pay for their own security represents a "Jewish tax."

She demanded Congress give "at least $500 million" to secure Jewish groups through the NSGP, back pre-crime programs and "reform" Section 230 to censor the internet.


Unlike the imaginary "Jewish tax" Rayman dreamt up, the billions of dollars in grants paid out predominantly to Jewish groups over two decades through the Nonprofit Security Grant Program is an actual, non-figurative tax on all Americans.



Jewish groups largely monopolized these grants for years and this year they've been demanding a whopping $1 billion in the name of "Jewish safety."



Americans of all stripes are suffering from violent crime thanks to the open borders policies and criminal justice reform measures advocated for for decades by the ADL and the AJC.

These groups love to act like it's some terrible burden to have police securing their facilities even though the average American would love nothing more than to have 24/7 security protecting them in America's dangerous cities.

Instead, our tax dollars are being used to facilitate our own dispossession and fund Israel committing genocide in Gaza.
