Tech executive Nima Momeni, 38, was arrested by San Francisco police on Thursday and booked on suspicion of murder in the stabbing death of Cash App founder Bob Lee.

From SF Chronicle, "Arrest made in Bob Lee killing; suspect is tech entrepreneur Nima Momeni":
San Francisco police made an arrest Thursday morning in connection with the stabbing death of CashApp founder Bob Lee, a crime that convulsed the city's tech community and inflamed fears of surging violence downtown.

Jail records showed 38 year-old Emeryville resident Nima Momeni was booked on suspicion of murder at 9:19 a.m. Thursday morning. Momeni was not immediately able to respond to a text message, and his voicemail box was full. He previously described himself as an information technology consultant and entrepreneur. His LinkedIn profile lists him as an "IT Consultant/Entrepreneur" at a company called Expand IT.

[...] Akash Sawhney met Momeni in 2015, while working for Outward, a startup that had hired Momeni to set up its information technology network. Like others, Sawhney had positive impressions of Momeni, who he said was "super helpful" and displayed no red flags or flashes of anger.

The two men connected over religion after Sawhney learned that Momeni was Zoroastrian -- a member of the ancient monotheistic religion that originated in Iran. Many Zoroastrians fled persecution and wound up in India, where Sawhney grew up.
Surveillance video captured after Lee was stabbed showed he begged bystanders for help only to be ignored.
