  White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is outraged that Russia decided to shut down its "Nordstrom" pipeline, which presumably provided overpriced luxury goods to European department stores.
"What we see Russia is doing, we've been very clear about this, they're using energy, they're weaponizing energy," Jean-Pierre said Tuesday during a White House press briefing. "One of the things that has been out there ... they shut down the pipeline of Nordstrom 1." Russia shut down the Nord Stream 1 pipeline on Monday and demanded the Western world lift sanctions against their nation before they start it back up. The shut down came at a critical time as energy bills in the UK and EU are expected to more than double in the coming winter.
