Boris Johnson Ending Nearly All Lockdown Measures in Wake of His Poll Numbers Imploding

Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced Wednesday that the UK is ending vaccine passport mandates, mask mandates and work restrictions.

This is a beautiful sight to behold.

It's pretty funny hearing all the political hacks who supported these restrictions now cheering their end.

Are they going to issue any apologies or just act like nothing even happened?

Transcript:
From the start of Thursday, next week mandatory certification will end.

Organisations can, of course, choose to use the NHS Covid Pass voluntarily but we will end the compulsory use of Covid status certification in England.

From now, the government is no longer asking people to work from home and people should now speak to their employers about arrangements for returning to the office.

And having looked at the data carefully, the Cabinet concluded that once regulations lapse, the government will no longer mandate the wearing of face masks anywhere.

Mr Speaker, from tomorrow, we will no longer require face masks in classrooms, and the Department for Education will shortly remove national guidance on their use in communal areas.

In the country at large, we will continue to suggest the use of face coverings in enclosed or crowded places, particularly where you come into contact with people you don’t normally meet.

But we will trust the judgement of the British people and no longer criminalise anyone who chooses not to wear one.

The government will also ease further restrictions on visits to care homes and my Rt Hon Friend, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, will set out plans in the coming days.

Mr Speaker, as we return to Plan A, the House will know that some measures still remain, including those on self-isolation.

In particular, it is still a legal requirement for those who have tested positive for Covid to self-isolate.
Johnson's poll numbers have been imploding over the past year.

Johnson had to issue an apology on Wednesday for attending a party with 100 other people on May 20, 2020 while the rest of the country was on lockdown.

During his speech to parliament about lifting lockdown measures, Johnson didn't apologize for locking the country down but instead credited their "extraordinary booster campaign" for the UK's decline in hospitalizations (which was actually thanks to the spread of the relatively mild Omicron variant).

There was a stunning "Emperor Has No Clothes" moment earlier this month that racked up millions of views where pureblood Dr. Steve James confronted Health Secretary Sajid Javid on vaccine failure.

Javid had no response and tried to squirm his way out of the confrontation.

More than 80,000 pureblood NHS workers -- some 6% of the NHS's entire workforce -- are slated to be fired next month for refusing Big Pharma's injections, though calls are rising now for the planned purge to be abandoned.

Politico reported recently that Democrats in America have mostly abandoned harsh lockdown measures due to plummeting poll numbers and fears of being wiped out politically.
