Oklahoma GOP Rep. Markwayne Mullin Praises Cop Who Killed Ashli Babbitt: "I Actually Gave Him A Hug"

Oklahoma Rep Markwayne Mullin (R) went on C-SPAN last week to praise the Capitol police officer who shot and killed unarmed Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt in the Capitol on Jan 6.

"After it happened, he came over," Mullin told C-SPAN. "He was physically and emotionally distraught. I actually gave him a hug and I said, 'sir, you did what you had to do.'"

Mullin went on to suggest that Babbitt, who he refused to name, was going to steal the officer's gun and use it against him.
