Community self-defense groups have organized in South Africa to fend off the giant mobs of rioters and looters who have been wreaking havoc for days and destroying everything in sight.

from the posts about it, it looks like angry taxi drivers caught a bunch of them and used that buck breaking tactic to humiliate them as punishment

Some 25,000 troops were deployed to try and help quell the riots.

The Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, "discovering" thousands of rounds of ammunition in the street.

Footage shows dead fish/crayfish on beaches of Umdloti (North of Durban). Presumably, the runoff from the chem. plant in Cornubia that caught fire spilled into ocean & is responsible.
