ABC News aired footage from a Kentucky gun range and suggested it was footage of "Turkey's military bombing Kurd civilians" after being "abandon[ed]" by President Trump. The shocking deception was exposed by Wojciech Pawelczyk on Twitter:
The footage was aired Sunday night on ABC World News Tonight and Monday morning on Good Morning America. ABC News pulled the video after it was exposed as a fraud but a mirror was uploaded below (watch a second mirror here):
The actual footage was lifted from a Knob Creek Gun Range machine gun shoot in Bullitt County, Kentucky which happened in 2017: ABC News pulled videos of the fake "Turkish bombing" on Monday but didn't admit the embarrassing source. ABC News tweeted Monday: "CORRECTION: We've taken down video that aired on "World News Tonight" Sunday and "Good Morning America" this morning that appeared to be from the Syrian border immediately after questions were raised about its accuracy. ABC News regrets the error."
