8chan owner Jim Watkins said Tuesday that the alleged manifesto said to have been posted by the El Paso shooter to his site "was not uploaded by the Walmart shooter" and "law enforcement was made aware of this before most people had even heard the horrific news." From CNET, "8chan owner says El Paso shooter didn't post manifesto": Instagram said Tuesday that a hate-filled manifesto linked to the El Paso shooter wasn't uploaded to the Facebook-owned photo-sharing site as suggested by the owner of a fringe message board where the document was initially discovered. His full quote ended with: "That is clear, and law enforcement was made aware of this before most people had even heard the horrific news." Incidentally, you can see the original post archived here. All the responses to the alleged shooter's posts are accusing him of being a CIA agent with rather colorful language.
