Nike spokesman Colin Kaepernick recognized July 4th by quoting Frederick Douglass suggesting America is the worst nation on earth.

“What have I, or those I represent, to do with your national independence? This Fourth of July is yours, not mine…There is not a nation on the earth guilty of practices more shocking and bloody than are the people of these United States at this very hour.”

The video features July 4th fireworks interspersed with white cops beating up black people, historical pictures of slavery, the KKK and lynchings.

All that was missing was a shot of Nike's Betsy Ross flag shoes!

A special "Fourth of July" Air Max 1 has been CANCELLED by @Nike after @Kaepernick7 told them it shouldn’t sell a shoe with a symbol that he and others consider offensive.
