President Trump unveiled the winners of his "highly anticipated" Fake News Awards Wednesday night on the GOP's official website. Their site got so much traffic it ended up crashing, but here's a copy via The Gateway Pundit. From GOP.com: 1. The New York Times’ Paul Krugman claimed on the day of President Trump’s historic, landslide victory that the economy would never recover. 2. ABC News’ Brian Ross CHOKES and sends markets in a downward spiral with false report. 7. CNN FALSELY reported about Anthony Scaramucci’s meeting with a Russian, but retracted it due to a “significant breakdown in process.” 10. The New York Times FALSELY claimed on the front page that the Trump administration had hidden a climate report.Incidentally, The New York Times, which is the top Google result when you search for the awards, wrote a piece about the awards but didn't mention a single point on the list. Instead, they floated wild theories that such an award show might "pose an ethical issue" and "breach a ban on government officials using their office to explicitly promote or deride private organizations." I guess they're butthurt they were number one. One honorary mention which should have made the list is the massive lie repeated ad nauseam for months that "17 intelligence agencies" agreed the Russians "hacked our election."
