France: Mayor Threatened For Saying "Being French" is "Being European, White and Catholic"

A "far-right" mayor in France is being threatened with legal action for claiming "being French" means "being European, white and catholic."

From Politico:

Two anti-racism organizations on Monday said they would take legal action over comments by Robert Ménard, the far-right mayor of Béziers in the south of France.

Ménard said in an interview with French news channel LCI that being French also meant “in the words of Charles De Gaulle, being European, white and catholic.”

According to Ménard, 91 percent of children in certain schools are Muslim. “Naturally, that is a problem,” he said, adding that there are “thresholds in tolerance.”

Fortunately, the French version of the ADL has jumped in to condemn him as a racist and threaten him with legal action for "inciting racial hatred":

Alain Jakubowicz, the president of Licra, the international league against racism and antisemitism, said the comments “beat the record of shame and stupidity.”

The mayor made similar comments on Twitter, saying that “the French are predominantly white and Catholic. Without excluding anyone, I hope that this will always be the case in the future.”

Good god, have you ever heard anything so absurd?

Saying French people are actually French is as crazy as saying Germans are actually German.

As we all learned earlier this year on German TV, "being German" means "wearing a hijab," also Germans can no longer have "blonde hair and blue eyes," because that's racist or something.

Being French also means wearing a hijab, and no longer can they have white skin and French genes, because that's just plain racist.

This is France now, any so-called "French people" who don't like it should find their own damn country to move to!
