WATCH: White People Ordered 'To the Back' at DNC March in Philly

Participants in a “black resistance” protest at the Democratic National Convention ordered white attendees to move to the back of the demonstration, as they were not wanted at the front.

“I need all white people to move to the back. This is a black and brown resistance march,” a woman with a microphone can be heard saying in a video posted online Tuesday afternoon. “You will not have a say all up in here.”

“Take your rightful position and get behind us,” she continues. “If you see any white folks, direct them to the back of the crowd.”

The woman’s orders applied to both supportive marchers and to news media attempting to cover the protests.

“White media, get to the back,” she says. Black media members, on the other hand, were encouraged to come forward to the front.

“White people to the back, black people to the front,” she adds.

One white person attempted to defy the order, and drew the ire of marchers.

“Go back, go back!” chanted one demonstrator, while another said “We see your privilege.”

“White people cannot be up front,” a woman in a hijab says near the video’s end. “White people will not be an obstruction no more!”
