![]() Screaming "I hate white people" before punching a random white woman in the face is not evidence of a racially motivated attack, at least if you take the word of Provincial court Judge Harry Van Harten. From the Calgary Herald: Van Harten, in a written decision, said Tamara Crowchief's motivation for striking Lydia White was not related to racial bias.I have to agree with the judge, if we exclude what she actually said, there's simply no evidence either way. Here's how the crime went down: White was outside Jaimieson's pub on 17th Avenue S.W., with a friend when an acquaintance of Crowchief's approached and asked for, and was given, a cigarette.Lydia White said, "I don't understand why this woman did this." "I never did anything to her. Never even spoke to her." Well Lydia, neither does the judge, but we do know for certain her saying, "I hate white people" and exclaiming whites are "out to get her" had absolutely nothing to do with her motivation. I guess the motive for this crime will forever remain a mystery! Follow InformationLiberation on Twitter and Facebook. |
