![]() A captain with the Shelby County Sheriff's Office has been arrested, accused of using her position to access information in her son's rape case. Monica Johnson, 43, has been charged with coercion of a witness, misuse of official information and accessory after the fact. According to the arrest affidavit, after Johnson's son Nehemiah Rimmer was indicted on charges of rape of a child, investigators said Johnson accessed the county law enforcement database several times to get information related to the indictment. Johnson then tracked down the victim that her son is accused of raping. She identified herself as an officer and took the victim and her mother to a truck stop on Lamar Avenue where she questioned the 5-year-old victim about the case. Read More |
