 A former Warren County sheriff's deputy charged this week with faking a report about an ambush-style shooting last January also lied about being a combat veteran with post-traumatic stress disorder, Sheriff Kevin Harrison said Tuesday. The ex-deputy -- Linkee Israel Carrillo, 41 -- also faces charges of falsely claiming to have earned a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star and other military honors and of tampering with a motor vehicle.
