![]() A Broward Sheriff's Office detective was arrested Thursday night after allegedly stealing more than $1,300 in a sting orchestrated to catch him. Detective Brent Wooddell, 37, hired in 2001, had been assigned to Deerfield Beach's Selective Enforcement Team for the last seven years, a team that deals with crimes such as drugs and gangs. Wooddell has been charged with official misconduct and grand theft and has been suspended with pay. He was released from jail Friday morning on $2,000 bond. Sheriff Al Lamberti said Friday additional charges are pending and Wooddell could soon be put on leave without pay. Read More |
