Joshua Holland, the Firefighters Fee Story, and Liberal's Intellectual Dishonesty

Why is it liberals only care about insults? Is it because they have no logic to back up the nonsense they spew? Joshua Holland "responded" (I better not use that word) to my most recent piece which I posted in the comment section to his most recent attack on libertarians, Libertarians Offer Hilarious Responses to Firefighters Letting TN Home Burn.

Did he address my argument about how taxes are extracted from the barrel of a gun? Did he address the fact his "moral hazard" defense was intellectually bankrupt? Did he address the fact in his utopia we libertarians are not allowed freedom, but in our utopia he would be free to live under any dictator he pleases? No, of course not, instead he attacked the word "respond," and arrogantly informed me,

"You're funny. For the record, not only did I not "respond" to your original post, I didn't read past the part I mocked."

Good for you Joshua, you should be really proud of yourself. That you would completely ignore a direct response and instead choose some flippant insult shows the type of intellectual honesty and sound arguments you feel are appropriate. The fact remains, what you said is completely wrong and the reality of the government's 'gun in the room' is completely right. If you read even the first few lines of my response, or read the picture I posted, which would take under 30 seconds, and I guarantee you did, you would see your argument was completely debunked. You chose a petty insult instead of a response, that's telling.

While I don't want to harp over this poor sap, it does go to show the intellectual bankruptcy of the modern liberal. They do not care about the arguments people make against their unsound ideology, they don't care about the inherent contradictions in their phony "loving caring liberalism." They don't care that to have any wealth to redistribute, the government needs to first steal it from the populace. They don't care that the government always becomes corrupt and is always run by the worst in the society, not the best. They have their little dreamworld where everyone else's property is theirs, they're entitled to the fruits of everyone else's labor, and their neighbors are mere human resources to be used as it pleases them. There is nothing "liberal" about that, that's a controlling lunatic.

The only reason the government gets compliance is because it threatens everyone with guns, by ignoring this most basic fact, which is at the very heart of government, you ignore the entire immortality from which government is based on. Far from being some loving liberal who only wants to help, you become some hateful control freak who only wants to hide the truth and attack anyone who points it out.

I respond when some idiot liberal attacks me, I'm proud that I read others responses and my intellectual reasoning stands up to their scrutiny. Far from just throwing insults around at them because I can't muster up a logical response, I explain why I think the way I do and the reasons behind it. If a modern liberal could do the same, they wouldn't be a modern liberal, they'd understand the inherent immorality in statism and recognize how it's wrong to support men with guns going around threatening everyone to "do good."
