![]() Monday evening, Anna Eagar knocked on the door of Senator Curt Bramble in Provo’s Edgemont neighborhood. She had pizzas the family ordered over the phone. Things get downright uncomfortable for Anna when Bramble wanted to pay with a check. Anna said, “I can’t accept a personal check.” It’s company policy. Bramble first told her to take her pizzas and go, but then Anna suggested he can call the restaurant and pay over the phone with any credit card. She said Bramble did call and then proceeded to berate her boss and insist that his checks should be the exception. That night, Anna wrote about the experience on her blog. She said she had no idea it would be read by anyone beyond her little group of family and friends. A recent BYU grad with a degree in English, Anna figured it would be good therapy to tell what she was beginning to consider a “funny” story. The response from her story has astounded and somewhat embarrassed a girl who otherwise admittedly spends most of her time “trying to be invisible.” Anna works for Nicolitalia Restaurant, 2295 North University Parkway, Provo. It a family owned business and the family owners are admittedly uncomfortable with the attention being given the Bramble check flap. After all, Bramble is a customer and the customer is always right. That’s why they eventually agreed to accept his check. And while they hope Anna won’t be blogging any more about customers, Anna says they are defending her right to write what she wants. In other words, she still has a job. Read all of Anna’s blog as well as the comments at http://cartoonbrickwall.blogspot.com. Video Report: |
