![]() One person was killed in an explosion about 100 yards from a packed football stadium at the University of Oklahoma last night in what officials are ruling a suicide. The noisy explosion was heard inside Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, where 84,000 were watching the Oklahoma Sooners play Kansas State. A police bomb squad reportedly detonated other explosives found at the site of the blast. No spectators were allowed out of the stadium immediately following the blast, which occurred about 8 p.m. near halftime at the football game. By 8:30, police were allowing fans to leave the area. |
