Grinch “al-Qaeda” Steals Christmas Again

Once again, various intelligence organizations are determined to wreck Christmas. “According to reports received from Western intelligence services, al-Qaeda’s terrorists prepare to explode 30 planes and trains across Europe on Christmas time. The terrorist act is said to be conducted at the end of December, when many people book Christmas tours or simply travel to celebrate holidays with their relatives or friends,” reports Pravda.

Chances are slim to none Osama’s homies will deck the halls with PETN-based explosives.

Recall back on December 21, 2003, when Ministry of Homeland Security boss Tom Ridge told us about a “substantial increase in the volume of threat-related intelligence reports,” a ruse of such importance anti-aircraft missile batteries were set up in Washington. “With America on high terror alert for the Christmas holiday season, intelligence officials fear al-Qaeda is eager to stage a spectacular attack—possibly hijacking a foreign airliner or cargo jet and crashing it into a high-profile target inside the United States,” reported the Boston Globe on Christmas Eve (see Bush’s Christmas Terror Alert by Michel Chossudovsky).

“Christmas 2003 finds us facing new warnings of terror strikes at home, with our troops remaining under fire in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the United States embarked on a global war on terrorism that will be long, arduous, dangerous and costly,” warned the RAND Corporation, the “nonprofit” think-tank established by the Air Force and interlocked with the Ford, Rockefeller, and Carnegie foundations.

During Christmas 2002, according to British intelligence, “al-Qaeda,” or more accurately, the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat, planned to use triacetone triperoxide, an “explosive favored by suicide bombers,” according to the Guardian, on hapless Christmas shoppers in Strasbourg’s famed Christmas Market. Lost in all the hype, however, is the suspicious fact the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat is linked to Algerian intelligence, as reported by Le Monde Diplomatique.

Of course, Christmas came and went with no hijacked planes or suicide bombers at the mall.

But never mind, “al-Qaeda,” with dozens of foiled terror plots to its credit, will press onward with mulish determination. “In a move that has been puzzling intelligence agencies, Al Qaeda has been withdrawing well-trained Arab fighters from the mountains and battlefields of Afghanistan over the past six months while handing over its militant activities in Afghanistan to that country’s resurgent Taliban movement,” reports CBS News, a move that we are told will materialize in an attempt to kill European commuters during the holidays. “Britain has been on high alert after the July 7, 2005 bombings on London’s public transport network that killed the four extremist suicide bombers and 52 commuters and injured more than 700…. There was an alleged attempt to replicate the attacks two weeks later while on August 10 this year, police and security services foiled what they said was a plot to blow up transatlantic passenger jets using liquid explosives.”

As we know, this liquid bomb plot was, to say the least, a stretch, as a bounty of scientists and lab technicians testified to its absurdity, not that this news found its way to the front page of the New York Times.

Of course, none of this matters, as people will apparently believe any sort of facile nonsense dispensed by the state, and will diligently stand in line at airports, throwing away everything from harmless drinking water to baby formula, as demanded.

No doubt, if the authorities this time around, just in the nick of time for Christmas, decry the possession of eggnog with a dash of cinnamon or allspice, people will assuredly line up and cheerfully dispense with this seasonal beverage without complaint.
