Of note: "80% of respondents said that individual freedom and small government is more important to them than social conservative issues like abortion and gay marriage (9%), and national security (7%)."
The results are in, announced first on Fox News, and guess who conservatives chose as their top choice for the 2012 presidential campaign? That's right, Ron Paul.
You may recall that in early 2008, Fox made the Unfair & Unbalanced decision to ban Ron Paul from a GOP presidential debate. But now, just two years later, their network is leading media mouthpiece for the tea party movement spa... (more)
Carbon dioxide is “essentially harmless” to human beings and good for plants. So now will you stop worrying about global warming?
Utah’s House of Representatives apparently has at least. Officially the most Republican state in America, its political masters have adopted a resolution condemning “climate alarmists”, and disputing any scientific basis for global warming.
The measure, which passed by 56-17, has no legal force, though it was... (more)
The Kansas Senate passed a state sovereignty resolution Thursday that affirms the principles of enumerated powers and the 10th Amendment:
“the State of Kansas hereby claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of th
Last December, when Tennessee Rep. Susan Lynn, R-Mount Juliet, said she would introduce legislation which would declare null and void any federal law the state deems unconstitutional, some people were horrified. Rep. Lynn was specifically targeting the health-care reform legislation that was pending at that time. But the reaction that many people had to her language was not an expression of their suppo... (more)
Debra Medina, a Republican candidate in the Texas gubernatorial race, is walking back some comments she made earlier today on the Glenn Beck radio show suggesting the U.S. government could have had a role in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
Beck asked Medina whether she believed the government played a part in the attacks, the Statesman reports.
"I don't have all of the evidence there, Glenn, so I'm not in a place, I have not been out publicly questioni... (more)
Boy oh boy the media is in full on attack mode viciously trying to demonize her.
It's hard to say if it will backfire on them or not, the media's power is waning big time and people HATE Beck worse than Osama Boogyman Laden. (Granted Beck is about a thousand times greater threat to their freedoms)
Regardless the truth is the truth, if people choose to live a lie and acquiesce to being conned that's their miserable god forsaken choice. Giordano Bruno was burned at the stake for questioning the establishment orthodoxy, yet the truth lives on no matter how many people accept the lie. - Chris
Concerns over privacy have aligned with apocalyptic Biblical prophecy in a proposed Virginia law that limits the use of microchip implants on humans because of a lawmaker's concern that the chips will prove to be the Antichrist's "mark of the beast."
On Wednesday, Virginia's House of Delegates passed a bill that forbids companies from forcing their employee... (more)
Around the country, twenty two states are currently considering a bill known as the “Firearms Freedom Act.” This bill declares that guns, accessories, and ammunition made within a state, sold within that state and kept in that state are not subject to federal laws or regulations under the “Interstate Commerce Clause” of the Constitution.
Montana and Tennessee passed a Firearms Freedom Act into law in 2009, and a number of states are moving that direction in... (more)
Q. What can I read that can give me a serious overview of the true impact of the tariffs of 1828 and 1832 on South Carolina?
A: I think the question of the impact of the protective tariff on South Carolina is the wrong question to ask. It is something of a diversionary tactic, for reasons I will try to explain below.
The questions to ask about that period of American history are 1) was the protective tariff just?; 2) was it good policy?; 3)... (more)
This could not be more relevant now that the fake conservative movement is poised to run another heist on the American people, fake CONservatives like Glenn Beck and Bill O'reilly call daily for MASSIVE taxation increases and O'reilly even openly says he supports the government health care takeover in the form of a "public option." Conservatives must w... (more)
