What I find interesting about this video is the 'tough guy' types are the ones who cower and accept the tyranny once it's revealed, whereas the 'weaker' people, the effeminate man and the women, are all thankful for the information and are angered by it.
A majority of west coast voters, and Californians specifically, believe that the adult use of marijuana should be legal, according to the results of a pair of polls conducted on behalf of CBS News. Fifty-six percent of Californians believe that "the state of California (should) legalize the use of marijuana," according to a SurveyUSA poll of 500 adults conducted for CBS. The survey results come less than a month after state election officials certified the Regulate, Control, a... (more)
What is the Tenth Amendment, and why should we care? ("Amendment 10 – Powers of the States and People. It's a linchpin of the states rights phenomenon that is lighting a prairi... (more)
Fifty-six percent of adults living in the state think California should legalize the use of marijuana, while only 42% oppose, according to a new SurveyUSA poll. The level of support is basically unchanged from last year, when a Field Research poll found that 56% of registered voters in California supported legalizing and taxing marijuana for recreational use. And the poll is consistent with a... (more)
Washington (CNN) - More than 30 privacy and civil liberties groups are asking the Department of Homeland Security to suspend the use of full body imagers at airports, saying there is evidence that privacy safeguards don't work and the devices are not effective.
In a petition filed Wednesday, the groups also said the machines -- which see through travelers' clothes -- violate people's "deeply held religious beliefs."

Tea party activists are divided roughly into two camps, according to a new POLITICO/TargetPoint poll: one that’s libertarian-minded and largely indifferent to hot-button values issues and another that’s culturally conservative and equally concerned about social and fiscal issues.

LONG BRANCH - An appellate court sounded the death knell for a downtown redevelopment plan in Long Branch today, ruling the city failed to meet eminent domain criteria in taking properties.
The ruling does not immediately kill the Broadway redevelopment project because it gives the Monmouth County city another chance to prove that its reasons for taking the land and buildings is valid under tougher standards set by recent court cases.
In Arizona, it's now legal for (most) adults to carry a concealed weapon without a permit. Republican Gov. Jan Brewer just signed the legislation, putting her state in the same camp as Alaska and Vermont.
The state had issued 154,000 permits under the old law, which required background checks and instruction. Gun buyers still face federal background checks when purchasing weapons from a store.

Scott Schaper wasn’t happy when he got a ticket in Olathe. He struck back by flashing the officer the finger and giving voice to the gesture.
That got him another ticket for disorderly conduct. And now it has made him $4,000 richer.
City prosecutors dropped the disorderly conduct ticket and Olathe last week agreed its insurance company would pay $4,000 to Schaper and $1,000 to his lawyers, the American Civil Liberties Union of Kansas and Western Missouri. ... (more)

U.S. military officials tell NBC News that the U.S. Army will court martial a lieutenant colonel who refuses to deploy to Afghanistan because he considers orders from President Obama to be “illegal.”
Army doctor Lt. Col. Terry Lakin believes Obama does not meet the constitutional requirements to be president and commander-in-chief, because he believes (incorrectly) that Obama wasn’t born in the United States.
Representative Ron Paul (R-Texas) has introduced this Wednesday a bill that aims to repeal the mandate that all Americans buy government-approved health insurance.
The bill is still passing through the main House committees and currently has no cosponsors, but it is expected that all House and Senate Republicans will support it.
