Boy, 5, doused in gas, set on fire by masked men
CNNAug 23
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Five-year-old Youssif is scarred for life, his once beautiful smile turned into a grotesquely disfigured face -- the face of a horrifying act by masked men. They grabbed him on a January day outside his central Baghdad home, doused him with gas and set him ablaze.

It's an act incomprehensibly savage, even by Iraq's standards today. No one has been arrested and the motive remains unknown.

In a war-ravaged city torn by sectarian violence and mar

Kucinich: 'Belligerent' Bush Admin. trying to 'deceive' US into 'yet another war'
Raw StoryAug 16
Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), one of the most anti-war members of the House, accused the Bush Administration's labeling of Iran's Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization a prelude for war there.

"The belligerent Bush Administration is using this pending designation to convince the American public into accepting that a war with Iran is inevitable," Kucinich said. "This designation will set the stage for more chaos in the region because it undercuts all of our diplomatic effo

Freakonomics Hackjob Steven D. Levitt: If You Were a Terrorist, How Would You Attack?
New York Times BlogAug 12
The TSA recently announced that most airplane carry-on restrictions will stay in place for at least another year, until new X-ray technology has been fully installed. Surprisingly, one item that will now be permitted on board is a lighter. While it seems crazy to keep people from bringing toot... (more)
What you can get someone to imagine is percieved as real and will therefor not be resisted. This is a tactic used by marketers and scam artists alike. Such is the purpose of this article -- imagine being a terrorist. Because perception creates reality for most people, an article like this can actually trigger someone to carry out a terror attack.

This Steven D. Levitt hackjob uses this same imagination tactic in his idiotic book Freakonomics. There are parts in it when he says things to the extent of "If you had to kill one born baby, or 1000 unborn babies, which would you chose?" What this does is it gets the reader to psychologically bathe in the idea of killing babies, both born and unborn, and choose which to kill. 24 does the same thing when Jack Bauer gets into situations where he "needs" to torture someone to keep a nuke from blowing up.

So to sum it up, Steven D. Levitt is essentially attempting to create terrorists with this article (which would, of course, be convenient to the establishment which Levitt serves, because there are no real terrorists). Look for similar articles, tv shows, etc. to show up following this same pattern. - Chris

Neocon: To save America, we need another 9/11

ONE MONTH from The Anniversary, I'm thinking another 9/11 would help America.

What kind of a sick bastard would write such a thing?

A bastard so sick of how splintered we are politically - thanks mainly to our ineptitude in Iraq - that we have forgotten who the enemy is.
