Critics Hate 'The Interview'I watched it expecting nothing, it opens with almost zero character development and doesn't have much pull, but I thought it ended up being a decent movie, with some very funny parts. It's not jingoistic propaganda, and pokes fun at US interventionism at a few points, but it doesn't have an overly political message either way. (As opposed to a movie that is straight pentagon-run propaganda like Pearl Harbor (See: Operation Hollywood: How The Pentagon Shapes And Censors The Movies). That said I'm a 29 year old male, though I find graphic violence repellant, which the film has a decent amount of, I've been somewhat desensitized to it as it's the new gimmick which seems to be in tons of modern comedy films/sketches (I detest the trend, but I just ignore it when I see it).
