Police Frame Up Collapses: Cop "Loses" Crack Pipe "Evidence" After Removing It From Evidence Room

Chris | InformationLiberation

According to police, Rockingham County Board of Commissioners candidate Chuck Faint was found "slumped over in his car with a crack pipe," on the morning of April 21.

There's just one problem, Chuck Faint insisted he was innocent, and he reportedly suggested the police planted the pipe in his car. Rather than being "slumped over," he was merely resting waiting for a breakfast establishment to open.

Via WFMY News:
He said he reclined the car seat and was napping on the head-rest. According to him, he fell asleep unexpectedly around 6:30 a.m. while waiting for the business to open for breakfast.

Next thing he remembers, a police officer was tapping on his window asking what he was doing there.

"Next thing I know, they are taking me out of the car, searching me, telling me that they think there may be some problem with me. They called EMTs," Faint said.

The officer charged Faint with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, which is a misdemeanor.
Faint continued his campaign despite the allegations, but he came in last place none-the-less, no doubt damaged by the allegations.

Well, the trial was supposed to happen on August 1st, but then this went down:
...shortly before his case was called, three of the officers went out the back door of the courtroom, whispering to one officer as they left.

When Faint was called forward, it was announced the police station were short-staffed and the officers were called back to the station to handle a police matter. The police had requested they be allowed to testify and the date of the hearing be moved.

The case was continued to Aug. 29. [Via GoDanRiver.com, Aug, 4th]
Well, now that the trial was coming up, it turns out Officer Zack Hubbard, one of the police officers in the Reidville police department, took the pipe out of evidence and never returned it, and now the police say it's "lost."

"[Officer Zack] Hubbard admitted he didnít know what he did with the pipe," said Police Chief Edd Hunt as reported by GoDanRiver.com.

Officer Zack Hubbard was put on paid administrative leave, and then he resigned. It's not clear what sort of repercussions, if any, he will face as a result of his stealing evidence from the police's evidence room. Judging by his "paid" administrative leave, it seems like the police are a straightforward bunch of lawless criminals, so he will probably just be leaving for another police department.

As a result of this gross criminality, the case against Chuck Faint was dismissed. Hopefully, he will file suit against these officers and the department so we can find out what really happened.
