Deputies Knock On Wrong Door At 1:30AM At Night, Shoot & Kill Man Who Answers With Gun

Chris | InformationLiberation

Lake County, Florida sheriff's deputies who failed to identify themselves when knocking on a man's door at 1:30AM at night immediately shot and killed the homeowner after he allegedly opened his door with a gun in hand.

The man who was murdered, 26-year-old Andrew Lee Scott, was described by neighbors as a good person and "very nice guy."

The deputies realized later they got the wrong house, but for good measure they searched the man's apartment and found drugs, which apparently justifies their murdering him randomly.

The police are entirely unapologetic. Lt. John Herrell said of the incident, "The bottom line is, you point a gun at a deputy sheriff or police office, you're going to get shot."

For police who refuse to identify themselves to point their guns at you is A-OK, yet for you to do the same in self-defense is grounds for summary execution.

In contrast with this gang of criminals, a 92-year-old Toledo woman who found herself in the same situation just the other day actually shot an officer in the side of his head, yet the Toledo police chose not to press any charges against her, as Police Sgt. Joe Heffernan said, "I don't think it meets all the culpability standards for felonious assault on a police officer."

Indeed, 26-year-old Andrew Lee Scott had ever right to open his door fully armed, and, at least if he was in a state where the Castle Doctrine was recognized, he may have even had the right to use deadly force in defending himself from the police's illegal armed invasion.

9641 It would be impossible to imagine that after murdering the guy cops would not place drugs they found to cover their own asses.

20930 This is exactly why the second amendment was penned. The citizen was , and is, responsible for their own protection and arresting the bad guys. We only have ‘professional’ police (potential irresponsible murderers) because we became too lazy to attend our own civic affairs.

82192 "Who is it?"
"What do you want?"
Both, good questions to ask at 1:30 am before you open the door for ANYONE.

To open a door with a handgun, and you don't even know who's out there? This story isn't even real IMO.

There are definitely a lot of details missing. For instance, how was it possible for the officers to draw their weapons before he shot them? Whatever is going on here could be explained much better.

This is what they mean by the spin zone. It's just intended to incite hatred. Thank journalist for helping Satan. You suck.

There's two reports out on it, but right now all we have to go on is the police's word, which is pretty much worthless, but nonetheless they're apparently very proud of their murder and think they had every right to do it.

149101 what state was this in?

closest city, county?

who was in charge of the target (house) and was he/she on scene?

was an outside agency asked/called in to investigate the murder (state police/federal agency)?

did the shooter (deputy) know the victim?

The man who was killed was in Leesburg, police were from Lake County.

It was the homeowner and girlfriend.

Not sure.

Not sure but not likely, he was not the one of the suspects they were looking for.

9638 Planted gun. Planted Drugs. equals justifiable homicide.

7464 Wow, just wow. If I were the family member of this poor guy, I would hunt down the lying freemason pig murderer who did this and put a shovel through the back of its pig head.

98160 sick F ing pigs, soon we will all riot and revenge ourselves against the tyranny of the pure evil known as a cop! Looking forward to the revolution!

7627 Nothing about this makes sense. If its the middle of the night, someone who wont identify themselves bangs on your door, and scares you enough to retrieve a gun, you don't open the door. I'm willing to bet they busted in. And then of course this guy is going to point his weapon! Who wouldn't? And it shows restraint and caution that he did not fire. AND the fact that they "found drugs" almost proves they are a plant. If they freely admit they had the wrong house (what are the chances this random guy had "drugs"??) then they didn't have a search warrant, therefore the search was completely illegal and anything they found is totally irrelevant. Period. So if this squad had any integrity whatsoever, that detail would never have been released. Sounds like they threw that out there because people are stupid enough to accept it as a good reason to kill someone. "yeah, we shot a guy, in his own home, and we weren't even supposed to be there. Whoops. But no worries, folks. Turns out this guy had "drugs". And as we all know, people who do drugs are evil. So no harm done." I could go on forever about every wrong here... The worst part is, most people will accept that insane reasoning as an excuse for incompetence, lack of integrity, and murder.

67142 If there is a knock at my door at 1:30 am with NO idea who it is, I am not going to open the door. After this lame story I will retreat to the middle of the house with my AR15,off safety,30rd clip ready to see if it is a "Home Invasion" which is happening a lot these day's!

134186 Why do we have to live in fear and not open our door? He has every right to open his door with a gun.

208126 DRUGS? in the house? They had no idea they were there when they shot the law abiding citizen. If they were there!
He opened the door pointing a gun at the cops. I doubt it! Why open a door like that and give the person you have armed yourself against a clear shot at you??????
In truth it sounds to me like he opened the door, they shot him, realized they a had made a very bad mistake, then planted the gun and the drugs to cover there asses.
Between the cops murdering us and the government robbing us blind and telling us what we can and cannot do!!!!! the CITIZEN does not stand a chance in the land of the free and the home of the brave

184100 Police have every right to harm the way of the human. They are indeed robots that have microscopic chips called the gay gene that slowly moves and infects others like the brain eating zombie gene. This may be a difficult fact to accept but we are in fact run by these red eyed bastards.

678 Time to rethink my home defense strategy.
I must consider an illegal police intrusion too.

The line between criminals and cops sure has blurred.

74235 I have to agree that the way this was reported was code for, "this man didn't have the Constitutional Right to protect himself because he was possibly dealing pot".

Ever notice that when they arrest someone they show the weapons they supposedly have stashed so that you mentally turn them into terrorists even if they never even had any?

It's all propaganda and mind control. If the officers that shot this guy don't do time for murder or something, then it's going to be open hunting season on police because none of them are held accountable. It's them or us. That is sad.

This is no longer the home of the free, and they are confiscating the home and guns of the brave.

NOPD during Katrina were raping women after confiscating their guns. What is this world coming to?

Learn to shoot first, and then if they are alive ask questions later, then shoot them again.
