X owner Elon Musk condemned Ireland's Prime Minister Leo Varadkar for demanding new thought crime legislation in response to Thursday's fiery but mostly peaceful protest against mass immigration.

"Irish children were stabbed by a foreign man in Dublin yesterday yet the government twist the story and use the backlash as an opportunity to pass new hate speech laws," X user Sir Doge of the Coin commented on Friday. "The Irish government want all of your freedoms."

"Ironically, the Irish PM hates the Irish people," Elon Musk responded.

"We will pass new laws in the coming weeks to enable the Gardai (police) to make better use of the CCTV evidence they collected yesterday, and also we will modernise our laws against incitement to hatred and hatred in general," Varadkar said during a new conference on Friday.

"I think it's now very obvious to anyone who might have doubted us that our incitement to hatred legislation is just not up to date," Varadkar continued. "It's not up to date for the social media age. And we need that legislation through within a matter of weeks."

"Being Irish means more than saluting the tricolour, beating your chest and pointing to where you were born," Varadkar added.

Varadkar is Ireland's first gay head of state and the first Taoiseach of Indian heritage.

"Instead of enacting laws to deal with the danger to children in Ireland, the radical left wing racist government is going to enact new laws to enable police to go after those who are complaining about the government," X user Wall Street Silver commented. "Vote them all out before it is too late."

"This is their last term in office," Musk responded.

Tánaiste (Deputy Prime Minister) Micheál Martin on Friday accused Irish MMA legend Conor McGregor of "incitement" and labeled him "absolutely disgraceful" for demanding the government act in the interests of the Irish people.

McGregor also went off on Martin in response for being "worthless and spineless" in a post on X.

McGregor wrote:
"Blame anyone but themselves. Typical. Worthless you are Michaél. Worthless and spineless! Ryan Casey [whose Irish girlfriend Ashling Murphy was murdered by a Gypsy immigrant sex offender] called you all out last week grieving the love of his life, stolen by pawn scum, and nothing but waffle from you all since. Zero action! Everything from our lax border with gravy train benefits, to our pitiful mental health services, to our country in flames is ON YOUR WATCH! And still no plan of action!! Where is our plan of action? What are we going to do to ensure this stops happening? How are we going to ensure this ceases to continue in our country? Ireland is fed up of you and YOUR TYPE. We are not stopping here until real change is implemented. We need safety. We need security. We need leadership! As of now we have none of the 3. Shame on you and YOUR TYPE."
So far the government's only plan of action appears to be to jail all their critics and condemn them as "haters" while they keep the border wide open and fan the flames of the fire.
