Democratic Rep Henry Cuellar, a supporter of "criminal justice reform," was reportedly carjacked at gunpoint by "three black males" on Monday night outside his apartment in Washington, DC.

"Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) was carjacked at gunpoint tonight outside his apartment building in DC, multiple sources confirm to me," CNN's Laura Barron-Lopez reported. "And Cuellar is safe they say."

Barron-Lopez shared a neighborhood alert warning residents to "lookout for three black males wearing all black clothing."

"As Congressman Cuellar was parking his car this evening, 3 armed assailants approached the Congressman and stole his vehicle," Cuellar's chief of staff Jacob Hochberg said in a statement late Monday night. "Luckily, he was not harmed and is working with local law enforcement."

"Thank you to Metro PD and Capitol Police for their swift action and for recovering the Congressman's vehicle," his statement continued.

As a congressman, Cuellar voted for the "George Floyd Justice in Policing Act" to "hold police accountable" and "end racial profiling."

Hopefully, police will honor Cuellar's wishes and limit their search only to three nondescript males of no particular background!
