Obama Calls for Gun Control in Wake of Church Shooting, Says Such Mass Killings Unique to America

Never let a crisis go to waste.

“Any death of this sort is a tragedy, any shooting involving multiple victims is a tragedy,” Obama said. “There’s something particularly heartbreaking about a death happening in a place where we seek solace and we seek peace, in a place of worship.”

Obama also touched on the subject of gun control during his speech, saying he’s had to make speeches like these too many times because “someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting their hands on a gun.”

“At some point, we as a country will have to reckon with the fact that this type of mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries,” Obama said. “It doesn’t happen in other places with this kind of frequency and it is in our power to do something about it. I say that recognizing the politics in this town foreclosed a lot of those avenues right now, but it would be wrong for us not to acknowledge it.”

This type of mass violence does happen in other countries, here's a list of mass stabbings at schools in China where it's harder to get guns. People will use whatever is at their disposal.

Nonetheless, I can't help but laugh at the idea a man who has more innocent blood on his hands than any other person in America (excluding only his predecessor) is going to sit around pontificating about how violent our society is because slave-peons are allowed to own small arms.

Dylann Storm Roof doesn't hold a candle to Barack Obama when it comes to mass violence and slaughter. This is a man who as a matter of policy orders rescue workers to be drone striked for having the audacity to try and save the hordes of innocent victims left to die buried in rubble from his drone strikes. As a matter of official policy, anyone who tries to help his drone strike victims is automatically labeled a terrorist and targeted for a secondary so-called "double tap" drone strike. A joint study by Stanford and New York Universities estimated 49 out of 50 people killed in Obama's drone strikes are innocent civilians largely due to this insane policy, yet he carries out such attacks unabated.

To a Pakistani who is on the receiving end of this man's "policies," this man is the world's number one terrorist, and yet, unlike Roof who has now been detained and is publicly acknowledged as a murder, Obama and similar presidents before him are hailed as heroes for their slaughters, and in fact the presidents historically with the most blood on their hands are considered the country's "greatest."

If Obama wants to address endemic violence in America, he should start by looking in the mirror.
