After an Italian court convicted ex-CIA Cief Robert Seldon Lady on a kidnapping charge in Milan, it requested his extradition from Panama. Panama being a vassal state of the U.S. sent him back to the U.S., which by this means thwarted or refused Italy’s extradition request. See here and here. The bad guys in the CIA can get away with crimes. The good guys like Edward Snowden are supposed to come back and face U.S. “justice”? He’s already been tried and sentenced by Washington and the media. How can he possibly get a fair hearing? Is he supposed to rot naked in a tiny cell without a window with the lights on all the time, his only company being ants and roaches? Russia is supposed to heed the extradition request when the U.S. didn’t heed Italy’s? Why? Russia is supposed to trust Eric Holder? What kind of enforceable contract can Holder possibly make and with whom that Snowden will not face life in prison under intolerable conditions? Holder’s offer is a joke. The DOJ has been a joke for a very long time. Remember Janet Reno? It is good to see Holder dig his hole deeper and undermine the government’s credibility with his silly promises to Russia that no one in his right mind will see as anything other than a ploy, a PR ploy.
