205209 This lunatic is arguing for a private court system. Does the word "equality" mean anything to these people? Moving to that kind of system would just deepen the corruption we are already seeing, and shut even more people out.

97100 Before the first World War, there was less than 10 miles of paved roads in America. Life expectancy was age 47. Most homes had neither running water or electricity. Most people lived in rural areas and grew their own food (and canned enough to last the winter). OF COURSE there were LARGE families...because birth control hadn't been invented yet. Many children also died before age 5.

Did he REALLY call the Civil War "the War of Southern Independence"? The war was one of the bloodiest in history, with over 50,000 dying in just one battle. And you certainly couldn't "move around" the country if you were black.

The first world war was different because of the new technologies, while antibiotics had yet to be discovered. Airplanes, mechanized weapons, automobiles, etc CAUSED the large number of casualities...not universal suffrage.

Musselini, Franco, and Hitler were heroes against Bolshevism?

The "West" was not responsible for WWII or the condition of Europe in its aftermath.

Our college graduates are Illiterate brutes and beasts?

Making the world safe for democracy is NOT the cause of rising rates of divorce, lowered birth rates, poverty, etc. This speech ignores hundreds of contributing variables (not to mention neuroscience).

Of course people in the USA own their own bodies, property, freedom of contract and association, etc. You reject Civil Rights legislation and support discrimination? You "demand" a gold standard? Who are you to demand anything? To protect private property owners ONLY... and PUNISH those who do not know how to "behave" properly? You support succession of small localities??? The reason that North America does not look like the South America (small countries run by drug lords with the constant instability of military coups) is because we retained our UNION. THE REASON we have been able to stand up to tyranny and threats to freedom (with the requisite amount of needed resources) is because of our size.

The other reason America has succeeded is because no ONE faction is able to maintain power exclusively for an extended period of time. Liberals and conservatives are a type of "checks and balance" on each other. It is this constant ideological struggle that disrupts the "absolute power that can corrupt absolutely."

This speech sounds like a prescription to destroy the power of the United States of America...while seeking to instill a small group of people from the Mises institute as the new leaders of the free world.

97100 150 years ago, we wouldn't need a food and drug administration because everyone grew their own vegetables in their yard and slaughtered their own cows, pigs and chickens...and aspirin (and mechanical refrigeration, or the germ theory) hadn't even been invented/discovered yet.

You wouldn't need a department of public safety if there WERE NO PAVED HIGHWAYS... or CARS.

You wouldn't need an FCC if radios, televisions, etc. hadn't been invented yet either. Do you want child pornography on mainstream television...or do you want laws to prevent such exploitation?

This type of list could go on and on...

The reason that professors are your worst enemies is because they would give your presentation an "F" for faulty reasoning.

The scariest part of this speech is that if put into power, your group would indeed "repeal the entire 20th century." We could go back to having goats and chickens in our yards.
