Wagner Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin is on the ground in Rostov at the Ministry of Defense's Southern Military District headquarters and demanding a meeting with Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov.

Prigozhin is threatening to block the streets and move on Moscow if the meeting does not take place.

Wagner forces were seen surrounding the MoD's building in Rostov just hours earlier.

Prigozhin claimed earlier that his forces shot down two Russian helicopters who fired on his troops.

Russian riot police reportedly raided Wagner's HQ in St. Petersburg:

Prigozhin is claiming his issue is only with the MoD but this is clearly an insane affront to Vladimir Putin's rule.

Putin has yet to weigh in on the issue. RT reported early Saturday morning that Putin was briefed on the "insurrection."

"Russian law enforcement agencies are keeping President Vladimir Putin up to date on measures being taken in response to an attempt by Wagner private military company (PMC) to stage a coup, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Saturday," RT reported.

"Speaking to reporters, Peskov confirmed that the Russian Ministry of Defense, Federal Security Service, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and National Guard, 'constantly, around the clock, report to the president on the measures taken in the context of the implementation of instructions.' The Kremlin spokesman did not provide any additional detail," RT continued.

"Peskov also noted that Igor Krasnov, Russia's prosecutor general, had informed Putin of criminal proceedings initiated in relation to 'an attempt to organize an armed insurrection' by Wagner PMC. The spokesman noted that Krasnov also briefed Putin about the legal aspects of the matter."
