Only in America can an immigrant escape a "hellscape" to live in the most free and prosperous nation in the history of man, only to protest their new country's policies on immigration by climbing the beloved Statue of Liberty on the 4th of July.
Fox News' Tucker Carlson suggested this person, Therese Patricia Okoumou, should be "grateful," considering what she left behind in her native country of Congo, before noting that her anti-Trump publicity stunt was just another sign of extremism from the left.
[...]“Take three steps back and think about what you are watching right here,” Carlson told his viewers. “Congo a war-ravaged hellscape, a country noted for mass rape and cannibalism.”
“Imagine escaping a country like that, and being welcomed in our country, the United States? You would be grateful, wouldn’t you?” he asked. “This person is not grateful at all. She took over one of our monuments to scream about how racist we are, and progressives support her.”
