The NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force is searching for an African-American male suspect who allegedly called a 13-year-old girl a "white b***h" before throwing an unknown liquid in her face that caused her eyes to burn with pain.

Police said the man told the girl, "this is for you, white b--ch!" before throwing the liquid.

The young victim was returning home from school and had "just stepped off of a public bus in the Richmond Hill neighborhood of Queens," Newsweek reports. "Police said they don't know what kind of liquid the man threw at the girl, but said she was treated at Jamaica Hospital and had been released."

Surveillance video captured images of the suspect carrying a bottle in his hand:

"The suspect is described by police as a black man, about 30 years old, with a bald head. He was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with a red shirt underneath, royal blue pants, and tan and brown boots," CBS New York reports.

"Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577."
