Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, whose meeting with Donald Trump Jr made headlines earlier this month, says she was setup by Maginstsky Act lobbyist Bill Browder.
The scandal concerning the meeting between US President Donald Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr, and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya was orchestrated by Magnitsky act lobbyist William Browder, the lawyer told RT in an exclusive interview.
She went on to say that Browder, who is the founder and CEO of the Hermitage Capital investment company, orchestrated this whole disinformation campaign as revenge for the defeat he suffered in a US court in 2013 from a team of lawyers that included Veselnitskaya. The photos she's referencing comes from a new "state department hack" by a hacker calling himself Johnnie Walker.
One of the emails allegedly from the hack purportedly shows Browder associates emailed a photo of Veselnitskaya's house on June 6th, 2016. The Trump Jr. meeting happened days later on June 9th, 2016.
I cannot independently confirm the validity of this alleged email.
Cernovich media released a video on the incident where they note ultra-wealthy William Browder is the grandson of the founder of the Communist Party USA.
The circumstances around the passing of the Magnitsky Act, which Browder was instrumental getting passed, are highly questionable as investigative reporter Robert Parry recently noted.
