Today, Barack Obama appeared on Zach Galifianakis's recurring show "Between Two Ferns" to perform with him in a comedic interview. After some scripted jokes in which Obama is painted as Mr. Cool and Zach as a bumbling moron, the president spends the next four minutes pushing Obamacare, telling Zach's young audience the site "works great now."
Obama says young people can sign up for the same price as they pay for their monthly cell phone bill. He says young people think they're "invincible," and says if they get health insurance it can "really make a big difference."
He then shamelessly gives out the Healthcare.gov hotline number, and tells people to sign up before the "March 31st deadline."
The truth is Obamacare is a ponzi-scheme dependent on getting as many young suckers to sign up as possible so they can pay for the old and sick with pre-existing conditions who need infinitely more money to treat their medical conditions than all the young people in the world need to cover themselves for actual unseen disasters.
Insurance is supposed to insure you against disaster and unforeseen circumstances, you buy it to mitigate potential future risk, when enough buy into it, the few who are unfortunate enough to need it can afford treatment.
Obamacare on the other hand is a ponzi-scheme where the already sick can sign up to get their medical bills payed by the young and healthy, who as we've seen already are expected to pay through the teeth.
Of course, that's just how it's supposed to work in theory; in reality, young people are not signing up, so there won't be the unlimited cash pool the government wanted, that is, unless Obama and Michelle can go on enough TV shows targeting young people and have enough comics sell their young audience out to sign up for the scam.
As a fan of Zach's work, as well as Jimmy Fallon's, it pains me to see them throwing their careers away to score political points with a bankrupt regime of amoral scam-artists.
