As reported earlier today on Infowars.com and NaturalNews, a combined force of feds and Los Angeles cops raided a private market in Venice California for the crime of selling raw milk and products made from raw organic milk. The owner of Rawsome Foods, James Stewart, was arrested and is being held on $123,000 bail. He will be charged with conspiracy to commit a crime.

Additional people arrested include Sharon Palmer of Healthy Family Farms who is currently in jail with bond set at $120,000. Palmer was featured in the documentary Farmageddon. Victoria Bloch, an L.A. county liaison for the Weston A. Price Foundation has also been arrested.

According to the government, selling healthy food is now the equivalent of selling marijuana and other drugs. In addition to raiding producers and retailers of raw milk, the federal government has indicated it will move against the sale of medical marijuana in California and a handful of other states.

Following our coverage of the Rawsome Food raid, it was reported that the effort is ongoing and the feds and local police are destroying product at the market.

As revealed by a cell phone video, the feds are not only rounding up and apparently destroying raw milk and products made from raw milk, but also fruits and vegetables, including organic mangoes.

A Twitter posted several hours ago announced a demonstration to be held in response to the raids. It will convene at noon on August 4 at 655 Rose Avenue in Venice.

Infowars.com, Natural News, the Drudge Report and the Huffington Post are the only news outlets reporting on the story. It has been completely ignored by the corporate media with the exception of local media in Los Angeles.

The FDA is attempting to send a message to producers of organic food and raw milk products. It has showcased its efforts to take down Tucker Adkins Dairy of York, South Carolina.

The feds are operating as an enforcer for large agri as it attempts to wipe out small business competition. The FDA is assisting in this effort by claiming it is protecting the public from dangerous non-pasteurized dairy products. The health and nutrition benefits from raw milk are well known but rarely reported by the mainstream media.
