Spurious “al-Qaeda in Iraq” Celebrates Dem Victory

It should be obvious by now “al-Qaeda in Iraq” is either a P2OG operation run out of the Pentagon or its members are blithering idiots.

According to the Associated Press, “al-Qaeda in Iraq,” supposedly run by the shadowy Abu Ayyub al-Masri, has “urged the U.S. to stay in Iraq so his group would have more opportunities to kill American troops.”

In other words, the fight in Iraq is not about evicting the United States from the country, the goal of all national liberation movements down through time immemorial, but rather is about a psychopathic desire to kill Americans, a sentiment that aligns perfectly with the neocon assertion that Muslims want to kill us for our freedoms and convert America to Islam, a cornerstone of the “clash of civilizations” fantasy.

Instead of liberating the people of Iraq from the occupation, “al-Qaeda” declares its desire to fight “Jihad until we are under the olive trees of Rumieh and we have blown up the filthiest house—which is called the White House,” as al-Muhajir declared on yet another audio tape.

According to the official fairy tale, al-Muhajir was appointed to serve as “emir” in Iraq after the Abu Musab al-Zarqawi myth was put to rest, as it was so riddled with inconsistencies and absurdities it was no longer viable, not that it mattered much, as the American people, or a large number of them, will believe whatever nonsense the government pedals, including the crock there is a really a difference between Democrats and Republicans.

“The speaker praised the outcome of Tuesday’s elections in which Democrats swept to power in the House and the Senate, in large part due to U.S. voter dissatisfaction over the handling of the war in Iraq,” notes the Associated Press. “The American people have put their feet on the right path by … realizing their president’s betrayal in supporting Israel,” said al-Muhajir aka al-Masri. “So they voted for something reasonable in the last elections.”

In other words, “al-Qaeda” supports the election of Democrats, thus demonstrating al-Masri is about as clueless as Fox’s John Gibson or any number of neocon sycophants.

Of course, reality, as usual, is quite different, as the election of Democrats will not translate into a withdrawal from Iraq but rather a shuffling of the deck chairs and possibly even an increase in troops, or more specifically National Guard troops ordered to endure endless tours, until they are either killed, driven insane, or come home with Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Moreover, Abu Ayyub al-Masri is not really clueless, as he works for the Pentagon, or his reputation works for the Pentagon, as we have no way of knowing if al-Masri is a real person.

But never mind. As the Moonie controlled Washington Times declares, “Al Qaeda gloats over U.S. election,” thus sending the message the Democrats will naturally stick to the script, not that we should have expected otherwise.

In addition to “al-Qaeda in Iraq,” the Times mentioned Supreme Iranian Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who “expressed satisfaction with the Democratic gains in the U.S. vote, calling them a boon for Tehran,” never mind there is no shortage of Democrats calling for shock and awe against Iran.

“A tough-talking Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton … suggested she would back a military strike on Iran if that country’s radical Islamic government attempts to build nuclear weapons,” Newsday reported in January. “Clinton’s speech seemed to position her somewhat to the right of the Bush administration, which has stressed diplomacy without ruling out any other option…. Her statements closely echoed comments made by interim Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who this week said his country would not tolerate a nuclear-armed Iran.”

But then maybe Khamenei doesn’t read Newsday.
