Larry Flynt: Common Sense 2009
posted 08/23/2009, 10:59 PM (Huffington Post) [Category: Commentary] The American government -- which we once called our government -- has been taken over by Wall Street, the mega-corporations and the super-rich. They are the ones who decide our fate. It is this group of powerful elites, the people President Franklin D. Roosevelt called "economic royalists," who choose our elected officials -- indeed, our very form of government. Both Democrats and Republicans dance to the tune of their corporate masters. In America, corporations do not control the government. In America, corporations are the government.
This was never more obvious than with the Wall Street bailout, whereby the very corporations that caused the collapse of our economy were rewarded with taxpayer dollars. So arrogant, so smug were they that, without a moment's hesitation, they took our money -- yours and mine -- to pay their executives multimillion-dollar bonuses, something they continue doing to this very day. They have no shame. They don't care what you and I think about them. Henry Kissinger refers to us as "useless eaters."
But, you say, we have elected a candidate of change. To which I respond: Do these words of President Obama sound like change?
"A culture of irresponsibility took root, from Wall Street to Washington to Main Street."
There it is. Right there. We are Main Street. We must, according to our president, share the blame. He went on to say: "And a regulatory regime basically crafted in the wake of a 20th-century economic crisis -- the Great Depression -- was overwhelmed by the speed, scope and sophistication of a 21st-century global economy."
This is nonsense.
The reason Wall Street was able to game the system the way it did -- knowing that they would become rich at the expense of the American people (oh, yes, they most certainly knew that) -- was because the financial elite had bribed our legislators to roll back the protections enacted after the Stock Ma... Everyone is waking up, in 2004 when I would browse the comments in the news it was maybe 1/100 comments would know what was really going on, in 2005, it was around 1/25, 2006 1/10, 2007 1/5, 2008 1/3, now in 2009 almost every random article I see the majority of people are talking about the NWO/Fed/etc. the tides have changed so massively and the people who know about the NWO are by far the most vocal. - Chris, IL
Health Minister Nicola Roxon yesterday announced that the Government would start deploying its first batch of swine-flu vaccine in coming weeks, with an aim to vaccinate as many people as possible to prevent further spread of the virus.
In September or October there will be a hyped up outbreak of the swine flu which they'll say is as bad as the bubonic plague to scare the bed-wetters to vote for health care reform. … That is the only way they can push something on to the American people that the American people don't want.
The article, which appeared at the Times Wednesday night, says that in 2004, contractors from Blackwater “helped the spy agency with plannin... (more)
Blackwater Hit Squads: What Was the CIA Thinking?
posted 08/23/2009, 10:58 PM (TIME Magazine) [Category: Cover-Up/Deceptions] The other shoe has dropped. CIA Director Leon Panetta, it turns out, ran up to Capitol Hill in June not simply to confess that the CIA had a secret assassination program it never implemented but rather to confess that it had subcontracted the job out. As first reported by the New York Times on its website on Aug. 19, the CIA hired Blackwater to help with a secret program to assassinate top al-Qaeda leaders. Although no one was assassinated before the program was ultimately shelved - and t... (more)
This article is totally skitzo, the title alone is bizarre, this is the CIA admitting they funded a company to go and carry out political assassinations and the headline asks "What were they thinking?" as though this is some Lucille Ball sitcom.
TIME Magazine is doing damage control for criminals, ask yourself why do you think that is? - Chris, IL

That’s right, three times. This year’s flu season is shaping up to be a very different one. Most people will need one shot for the regular seasonal flu and probably two others to protect against the new swine flu.
Experts suggest you get that first shot as early as this month — if you can find it.

In a post earlier this morning we discussed Flickr’s questionable decision to remove a photoshopped image of President Obama that makes him look like the Heath Ledger (Joker) character from The Dark Knight. In that post we quoted Flickr's director of community Heather Champ who said "We very much value freedom of speech a... (more)
