Ben Shapiro: The Israel Lobby Didn't Target Massie Because Of His Opposition to Israel

The Daily Wire's Ben Shapiro told his audience on Monday that the Israel Lobby wasn't targeting Massie because of his opposition to Israel.

"The reason why Massie is in hot water here has nothing to do with his stance with regard to Israel," Shapiro assured his followers. "It has everything to do with his stance with regard to conspiratorial nonsense about Jeffrey Epstein and the fact that he has voted against a wide variety of President Trump's priorities in Congress."


Shapiro's lackey Michael Knowles put out similar lies on his show:

He falsely claims that "there have been plenty of GOP congressmen who have opposed Israel who have voted against funding for the state of Israel or extra military aid or whatever," but "Trump didn't single them out for removal" and "even the super pro-Israel donors didn't dump all the money in to remove them."

Massie is actually being targeted because he doesn't vote enough in lockstep with the GOP, Knowles insists.

First off, MTG is the only other GOP rep who stood up to them and Trump and the Lobby hounded her out of her seat. The claim there have been "plenty" of others is just a total lie.

Second, the Lobby aims to be nonpartisan, funds representatives in both parties based solely on their commitment to Israel, and views polarization as a terrible development that's fracturing once bipartisan support for Israel.

Miriam Adelson, Paul Singer, John Paulson, AIPAC and the RJC don't care that Massie doesn't vote with the party—they care that he doesn't vote to advance the interests of Israel.

It's remarkable the Daily Wire has any audience left at all considering the way they treat their followers with such contempt.
The Lobby said over a year ago that they were going after him because of his opposition to Israel, and now that they defeated him, they're all gloating about it on social media.





Of course, other "liberal" Israel Firsters like Jake Tapper are also taking the same line.


Trump explicitly ran on restoring the power of the Israel Lobby over Congress and he's actively sacrificing his entire presidency to follow through.
